Both construction and sales has moved ahead rapidly in the last three months and Luna Phuket is now close to completion
for Phase 1, and almost sold out, with only two properties remaining. Phase 2 is now underway, with land cleared
ready for roads and infrastructure.
`
The last two villas in Phase 1 make very good value at ThB 17.5 million with
Phase 2 starting at ThB 21 million due to higher land and building costs than Phase 1. We will be launching Phase
2 soon and will offer first to our database before launching to the general public. If you wish to receive the site
and plot plan, etc. prior to the main launch please send us an info@lunaphuket.com and
we will make sure that you get first option on the plots.
The location of Luna Phuket with Laguna Phuket’s new stages of Laguna Village right next door and opposite
makes Luna Phuket a prime Phuket investment.
Shangri-La Phuket Resort and Spa
Shangri-La’s Phuket Resort and Spa will be situated on the west coast of Thailand’s Phuket island on
Layan Beach, 25 minutes drive from the Phuket International Airport and only a few hundred meters from Layan Gardens
and Luna Phuket. The 20-hectare luxury property, set amidst lagoons, gardens and a natural river flowing to the sea,
will greatly enhance the high end value of this part of Phuket.
Songkran – the Thai New Year
Songkran
is the Thai traditional New Year which starts on April 13 every year and lasts for three days. The first day of the
festival is Maha Songkran Day or the day to mark the end of the old year, April 14 is Wan Nao which is the day after
and April 15 is Wan Thaloeng Sok which the New Year begins with. Songkran is a Thai word which means “move” or “change
place” as it is the day when the sun changes its position in the zodiac. It is also known as the “Water
Festival” as people believe that water will wash away bad luck.
On 13th, the first day of Songkran one is meant to clean ones house, pay respect to your family and visit the temple.
The Thai New Year doesn't start until the 15th, the 3rd day of the festival. If you are going to be in Thailand during
the Songkran Festival (13-15 April) be prepared to join in the fun and get soaking wet. After all April is the hottest
month of the year and what better way to cool down than by being drenched with a bucket of ice cold water. Thai people
take great delight in drenching foreigners and it's the one time of the year when you can throw a bucket of water
over a policeman and get away with it, but probably best not in your own area as the next time you that ever so slightly
illegal U-turn with your car you might pay the premium!

Layan Gardens Last Penthouse Sold

With five sales since January, Layan Gardens has now only a few luxury ‘standard’ and ‘enlarged’ three
bedroom apartments left all with lovely views. The last penthouse was sold this week on the 9th April and so if anybody
was disappointed about missing out on a penthouse, one of our owners is looking to sell or rent their penthouse as
for business and personal reasons they have had to return to England for a lengthy period. This is a lovely property
and was one of the first sold in Layan Gardens and priced at 39 million Baht. Otherwise the now ‘grown in’ landscpaing
looks absolutely superb and the gardens are a joy to behold'.
